Sara, draw a rectangle the size of your page and center it in the background of your print clips.

Deli, search through the code, find all instances of “lineto” and replace with with “lineTo”. Replace all “curveto” with “curveTo”.

    Enir

Just so you know I sorted out the problem… replace the 4 (i think) “print”s with “youridname”!

  5. Fred says:

    Hi again,

Just a very quick question, I’ve looked at the code a lot, and tried some things, but can’t sort myself out… What do I have to do to be able name the linkage identifiers something other than “print”?

    Once again, great script!

  6. Mike says:

    Hey Juan,

Don’t add any frames to print. Just duplicate the last “Page” movie clip, change the name to the next page or whatever you want, change the export to the next print, and drag whatever picture you want onto stage of movie clip. don’t forget to change maxpages.

  7. Juan José says:

    Hi…
I’m not good using flash script but i see this movie can be helpfull… i have navigating in the code and find how to change the size of pages but i can’t add a page. I change the var maxPages to 10 and add a frame in the “print” time line with a movieclip “print9”. When I turn the last pages the button seems to work but the images does not appear… and a get a error message “can’t do action with cause the specified objects does not exist”, what i’m doing wrong?

Another question: it is possible to pass the variables from a php to make the page contents external, i mean avoid to create manually everypage…

    Thanks for help

  8. aLan says:

how do i add more pages?

  9. Sara says:

    Hi!
First of all, congratulations, it looks great! But I’m having problems laying out the pages because when I put a picture I don’t know exactly where the page ends. Any ideas (rather than trying until it fits)??
    Thanks!

  10. Pixelwit says:

In general, you need to use an onEnterFrame event rather than onMouseMove to tell the book where you want the page to be.

It can get complicated, but its been done before.

If you need more detailed instructions I can be contracted to help you with this as well as many other Flash scripting questions. Pixelwit’s gotta eat too ya know. 😉

  11. Fred says:

Cool, any clues to how? I’ve been exploring the script, and understand most of it, but I’m not really sure where to start!

    Fred

  12. Pixelwit says:

JM, 1) Use a colored rectangle in the background of the front page movieclip. 2) Edit the variables provided in the code to specify alternate page dimensions.

    Fred, yes it’s possible. 😉

  13. Fred says:

    Hey!

First of all I want to say a big congratulations for making this script, and a huge thank you for making it availible.

I was wondering, say I want to have the drag script, but also a system with links, where cliking on a certain link will flip over to a certain page? Is this possible?

    Thank youness!

    Fred

  14. JM says:

I’m having problems changing just the colour of the front page and when I place text and graphics on the pages their size changes when I test the scene. Would you be able to tell me what I can do to resolve this problem please?

    Kind regards,

    JM
