Fortunately this is a pretty easy task to accomplish.<\/p>\n<p>Follow the tutorial appropriate for whichever version of the PageFlip you&#8217;re using<!--more-->.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Free PageFlip:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Get the <a title=\"Free Flash Page Flipper\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pixelwit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/pageflip_notypos.zip\">Free Flash PageFlip File<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Open the file.<\/li>\n<li>Open the Library panel.<\/li>\n<li>Open the Book folder.<\/li>\n<li>Double-click the icon of the Bound Pages clip to begin editing the Bound Pages clip.<\/li>\n<li>Select the first frame of the Bound Pages clip&#8217;s Actions layer.<\/li>\n<li>Open the Actions Panel.<\/li>\n<li>Go to line #27 and change the curPage variable to &#8220;2.5&#8221;.  (&#8220;2.5&#8221; shows pages 2 and 3, &#8220;4.5&#8221; shows pages 4 and 5, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to the bottom of the actions panel and paste the following code at the very end of the file:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"codecolorer-container actionscript default\" style=\"overflow:auto;white-space:nowrap;width:100%;\"><div class=\"actionscript codecolorer\"><span class=\"co1\">\/\/<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"co1\">\/\/ Force Book to update.<\/span><br \/>\nstartFlip<span class=\"br0\">&#40;<\/span>-<span class=\"nu0\">1<\/span><span class=\"br0\">&#41;<\/span>;<br \/>\nflipRelease<span class=\"br0\">&#40;<\/span><span class=\"br0\">&#41;<\/span>;<br \/>\n<span class=\"co1\">\/\/ <\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"co1\">\/\/<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n<p><strong>Improved PageFlip:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Get the <a title=\"Improved Flash Page Flipper\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pixelwit.com\/blog\/page-flip\/improved-pageflip\/\">Improved Flash PageFlip File<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Open the file.<\/li>\n<li>Select the first occupied frame of the Pages layer (frame #5).<\/li>\n<li>Drag the selected frame a few frames to the right.  This makes sure the pages are loaded before the book is shown in its open state.<\/li>\n<li>Open the Library panel.<\/li>\n<li>Open the Book folder.<\/li>\n<li>Double-click the icon of the Bound Pages clip to begin editing the Bound Pages clip.<\/li>\n<li>Select the first frame of the Bound Pages clip&#8217;s Actions layer.<\/li>\n<li>Open the Actions Panel.<\/li>\n<li>Go to line #33 and change &#8220;this.CP = .5&#8221;  to &#8220;this.CP = 2.5&#8221;.  (&#8220;2.5&#8221; shows pages 2 and 3, &#8220;4.5&#8221; shows pages 4 and 5, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Go to line #32 and change &#8220;this.ENP = 2.5&#8243; to this.ENP = 4.5&#8221;.  (ENP needs to be set to 2 more than CP) <\/li>\n<li>Publish the file to see the changes.  (Menu\u00bbControl\u00bbTestMovie)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you get an error saying &#8220;A with action failed&#8230;&#8221; then you need to make sure the pages you want to display are loaded <strong>before<\/strong> the book is placed on the stage.
