{"id":790,"date":"2008-12-16T11:20:38","date_gmt":"2008-12-16T16:20:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pixelwit.com\/blog\/?p=790"},"modified":"2013-06-27T19:31:58","modified_gmt":"2013-06-28T00:31:58","slug":"which-level-of-undo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pixelwit.com\/blog\/2008\/12\/16\/which-level-of-undo\/","title":{"rendered":"Which &#8220;Level&#8221; Of Undo Do You Use"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To further explore my curiosity of Flash users and their various Undo habits, today I&#8217;m inquiring about your Undo &#8220;levels&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>[poll id=&#8221;24&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re not sure what I mean by &#8220;Undo levels&#8221;, here&#8217;s how Adobe explains it:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<strong>Document-level undo<\/strong> maintains a single list of all your actions for the entire Flash document. <strong>Object-level undo<\/strong> maintains separate lists of your actions for each object in your document. Object-level lets you undo an action on one object without having to also undo actions on other objects that might have been modified more recently than the target object.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>You can check which level of Undo you&#8217;re currently using by<!--more--> opening Flash and going to: Menu \u00bb Edit \u00bb Preferences \u00bb General \u00bb Undo, and viewing what&#8217;s selected in the drop-down list.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been saved by the &#8220;Object-level Undo&#8221; feature so many times that there&#8217;s no doubt that it&#8217;s my personal favorite.  I really like being able to go back to a clip I&#8217;ve modified a long time ago and easily fixing my errors with a couple of &#8220;Undos&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to take the previous <a title=\"How Do you Undo?
