Tantalizing Tendril

Similar to my previous Candy Cosmos post, this ActionScript Flash experiment/art/eye-gouge isn't interactive but it's pretty fun to watch.

Update: You can see a gallery of images created with Flash ActionScript code similar to that used in the above example. Be sure to check out the Tantalizing Tendril Image Gallery.

    That’s beautiful. It’s got a 60’s album-artwork vibe.

Hi Victoria, you obviously have great taste in “art”. ;) I was only familiar with Klimt’s “The Kiss” and had to look up his other work to see what you were talking about. Thanks for the compliment.

I hope to write more about the method used to draw the tendrils but for now you can read these other articles to get started: Drawing Circles and Drawing an Arc.

This is cool. It reminds me of Art Nouveau by Alphonse Mucha. Cool.

I can say nothing, PiXEL WiT. You are one absurdly gifted and tasteful ActionScripter. “Tantalizing Tendril” is by far your sickest achievement yet. It combines the swiftness of the digital with the organic authenticity of the hippy era art.
To quote Otto, “I don’t need drugs to enjoy this – just to enhance it”.
    Peace^-^\m/
