Rate Me, Judge Me, Make Me Feel Cheap

I was recently contacted by someone claiming to be from a rather large company. He said he might be interested in hiring me as a "Designer" based on the look of this site. I explained that it was somebody else's theme and I just tweaked the CSS with FireBug and edited the WordPress template files, but he still seemed impressed. He said a few things about the layout but what I remember most was that he called it "clean, neat and easy to read".

So what do you think? Does this site look that nice? Do you think he was legitimate?

    well i looks clean but think for yourself - how C.R.A.P is your site?

    personally i don’t think the colour of your links will work well for people with sight disabilities, but apart from that i can’t see too much wrong with it…

    You can give your website more Web 2.0-look … simply make all corners round! ;)

    “clean, neat and easy to read”. Yeah sure … all you’ve got to do now is post something useful on it ;]

    @john - C.R.A.P - ah the non-designers design book? It’s a classic

    Cedric: Thanks.

    John: I think for myself all the time, unfortunately the rest of the world isn’t like me so I’m trying to design the site for others as well. I agree that I should probably add more contrast to the links, though I’m not sure exactly what I’ll do yet. I’m open to suggestions. Thanks.

    Sascha: Your site’s nice and informative. I’m not too crazy about the “Web2.0″ site’s rounded corners though. Pixels are square and so am I. ;)

    Mr. Webb: It’s hard to write something useful for a guy who already knows it all. ;)

    @nwebb - haha yeah you know it’s the best.

    pixelwit dude, just need to research DDA Web compliance and what you need to acheive in the links styles to make it compliant. then make it look cool =] i know you can do it!

    @John - I love that book. I still recommend it regularly :]

    @pixelwit - yes, my high IQ is as much a burden to others as it is to me *cough*

    it does look clean and neat. that is the way to go in the 21st century, we no longer want graphics or anythung that slows down our experience.

    as far as the job goes, if you don’t have it now, you are not getting it.
