OMG! Although I was able to combat the challenge in downloading Adobd CS4 and paying and installing Improved PageFlip, I thought it would be more user friendly. Yes, I am truly an amateur.

Is there anyone out there willing to mentor me through the process, starting with the basics. I’m thinking that each page I wish to use has to be in a jpg opposed to pdf?

I don’t think I need to get fancy just want to download some sample pages and put on my website. I’m willing to pay a few bucks for simple step by step directions. The improved pageflip program is very reasonable. Thank you.

    Hello,

I’m an amateur but a quick learner and currently developing my website. Page turning is one of the last designs I would like to include.

This is probably a dumb question.. but how do I open the free page flip flash file. When I download it, it cannot identify a program on my computer to install.

I downloaded free trial version of Adobe C4 & adobe flash player 10. No luck. Actually I keep receiving an error message from the Adobe trial version.

But before I decide to purchase the Improved Flip page I would like to try the free version. Please help! Thank you.

Did anybody ever work out how to load external content into a page without getting the flicker when the page is turned?

I want to dynamically load an image for the cover of the book but I can’t work out how to have it load only once without it reloading each time.

@PixelWit Fantastic piece of work, and you’re amazing for providing so much free support!!

    Hi,

I just wanted to share somthing I figured out..

I f you are planning on putting text on your page as well as a background image then rasterize the text on top of the background and save as a jpeg, and use that instead of putting them on the page seperatly. It will cut down the loading time, plus get rid of that annoying lag when u turn the page.

Hi, solved the picture loading in the flip book that i was puzzled on but would still like to know how to use a single flip code with several different picture galleries. A tutorial on that would be great. Again many thanks for making this code public.

    Hi,
Thank you so much for this script. I am very new to Flash and Action script and haven’t yet figured out how this works. Stupid question really but am i putting my pictures into the print clips in the body of the FLA? Is there a way to load different pictures from different galleries? I have 5 galleries but only want to use the flip book script once. Depending on what gallery the viewer wanted to view, the flip book would load those pictures. On completion return to the galleries to view another and that then load into the flip book. Any help would be most welcome.Again many thanks for this.

Is there a way to have some animation in the pages and not have the movie reload? When rolling over the corners or clicking to go a page you’ll see it reload the page that has animation on it.

Dear Pixelwit, (or whomever may be bright enough to assist me)

First of all I would like to thank you for turning out this amazing piece of work.

I only have one slight problem; How would I go about putting different backgrounds in for each page? (So that when you turn the page a new background would appear and not be part of the page itself?)

  10. Dominic says:

    Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to edit page sizes seperatly? It is important that certain pages are different sizes than others in my book, and I cant seem to figure out how to change one pages size without changing all the others.
If it is possible, how would I go about doing this?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
There has got to be a way to launch a page specific scrollpane from some or all of the pages in a flipbook. My attempts result in a pane half covered by the following page. Is anyone out there gifted enough to help me please?

  12. Naveed says:

ok my apology, I asked before I searched, anyway I got the method to flip the book from right to left. here is the link to tutorial:

    Hi,

Very very best work done, it looks like a real book, but one thing I want to turn the page from right to left, please help.

  14. Bob says:

    Oh and a few other questions I had;

how would you set up a book so that when you turned the pages you would see more pages on the left side and less on the right(just like a real book)

Also, I want my book to have a hard cover, is it possible to just have the cover turning like a hard cover and not like the rest of the pages??
and if so how would one go about doing this?

    thanks again.

  15. Bob says:

    Hi,

Does anyone know if its possible to set up a bookmark so people could be directed to the page they left off reading? Maybe through a cookie??

    thanks in advance!
