    Hey Pixelwit, Thanks for a wonderful piece of flash! Thank you even more for making it available for other to utilize and learn from. I am fairly new to flash and I have figured everything out by reading the help section and the comments others have made. The only problem I am still having which is probably a no brainer is how do I go about changing the background color of the flash file? I always end up with a gray tinted background instead of the white background that I am trying to implement

    Hi,

    First of all, obviously, thanks for sharing a great code 🙂 . My situation is as follows – I am trying to make some symbols that i have on a page to be visible, but when clicked on, to go invisible.
    So far, what i did was to put the following code on the page, say page 10, where i put the symbol on.

    symbolinstancename.onRelease = function ()
    {
        symbolinstancename._visible = false;

    }

    this works fine…but as soon as i mouse over the edges of the page, the symbol pops up again. I tried putting some boolean variables to flag whether the symbol has been clicked on, but it seems even these variables are being reset-ed when mouse goes to the edges of the screen….i am not sure where to place these variables to retain the values.

    Worse, i just stumbled on your website, and was using paprigrafika version. Being a complete beginner to flash, I am a little over my head , i think 🙁

    If anyone can help, would be really appreciated.
    Thank you!

    And eitherway, thanks for the great code – i have never been pushed to learn so fast in such a short period of time.

    ONCE AGAIN THANX A BUNCH FOR THE CODE!!

    My question is as follows: I have managed to follow your instructions for adding pages, rotating the book and even making it Flash 8 compatible..everything works wonderfully!!

    The problem I have is that after adding pages, whenever I place an object on the last page it seem to appear on the first when I run it???

    Please help!

    Hello great flash app, I have one question though. I was wondering if it is possible to have a link on one page that will allow you to jump to another page. The reason I am asking is I have a large flash book with over 100 pages and I have a table of contents at the begining of the book. What I would like to do is have it so where users can click on the name of a chapter in the table of contents and the book will jump to the page where the chapter starts. If you can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

    the have a page flip code too, maybe it would be interesting for you, well THNX AGAIN

  10. YZ says:

    Hey Pixelwit, thank you so much for your quick reply!

    I was positive there’s no way around changing the actionscript… didn’t think the solution would be so siple!

    All I had to do was flip the book horizontally.
    Although now the images I place inside the ‘prints’ need to be flipped and rotated(why rotate? Don’t get it), it’s a minor inconvenience.

    Thank you for your help.

    YZ

  11. Pixelwit says:

    YZ, I haven’t tried this, but try turning all your pages (prints) upside down and then rotate the book 180 degrees. You can read the tutorial explaining how to Reposition, Rotate or Scale the PageFlip for tips on rotating the book (it can be tricky).

  12. YZ says:

    Hmm.. maybe this is the appropriate place to place my question:
    This Page Flip is wonderful and works perfectly.
    Only thing is I want it to go right-to-left instead of left-to-right, so the booklet should start where it normally ends, and the users can flip backwards, going right-to-left.

    Any ideas?

  13. Gee says:

    Just a thing for you all who have found this great piece of flash. I have used Nathalie’s idea for changing the ratio to 2/3 and it adds a great JUST CLICK feature for users who are to stupid to figure it out. However if you change the size of the HIT SYMBOL on the corner botton to the same size as your page, you can now click anyway on the page and it will flip …. very very cool. You can still grab the page too. Great addon from Nathalie. cheers

  14. Tim says:

    Hi, this tools is really amazing!! very helpful to me.

    But now I want to resize the print clip so that the size is bigger than the default background area(i.e.610 X 460), so the result is the final image is overflow(i.e. bigger than the windows), May I know how can I slove it?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tim

  15. Pixelwit says:

    Danz, have you read the page about Resizing Pages of the PageFlip? That should help you out.
